Be Our Guest
If you've ever wondered what Toastmasters is all about, why not come to a meeting?
|
Guests are always welcome at Liberty Village Toastmasters. No appointment is necessary - just show up at a meeting! One of our club officers will be sure to introduce themselves and introduce you to the club. After that, sit back and watch how it works, or ask any of our members to fill you in. You'll probably be invited to participate in our Table Topics session, which gives members and guests a chance to practice thinking on their feet with a short impromptu speaking activity. As a President's Distinguished Club, Liberty Village Toastmasters is Toronto's premiere Toastmasters Club. We're proud of the supportive and dynamic atmosphere we generate at meetings and we're always happy to share it with new people, whether or not you decide to join. You can also feel free to come back as a guest as often as you wish. At Toastmasters we know how much we depend on each other for our club's success. If you think you might want to be part of that fabric, why don't you drop by and check us out? When is the meeting?Liberty Village meets on Wednesday evenings from 6:00pm to around 8:00pm. The first 15 minutes are for meeting, greeting and getting set up, and the scheduled fun starts at 6:15. Where is the meeting?
Liberty Village Toastmasters meets at the Harbourfront Community Centre at the intersection of Queen's Quay and Bathurst. How do I get there?Coming by TTC, the best way reach the Centre is by taking the 509 streetcar from Union station. We're at the stop just before Bathurst Ave, just after the streetcar passes the Music Garden Park on the left by the lakeshore. Catching the streetcar that leaves the station at 5:30 guarantees that you'll make it to the meeting with plenty of time to settle in and get comfortable! |
