Ready to experience what Toastmasters is all about?

A Liberty Village Toastmaster Meeting
We invite everyone to share in the fun and excitement of a Liberty Village Toastmasters meeting by visiting our club as a guest. Guests are always welcome and no appointment is necessary — just show up at a meeting!
One of our club officers will be sure to introduce themselves to you and introduce you to the club. After that, sit back and watch how it works. You’ll probably be invited to participate in our Table Topics Session, which gives members and guests a chance to practise their impromptu speaking skills.
We’re proud of the supportive and dynamic atmosphere we generate at our meetings and we’re always happy to share it with new people, whether or not you decide to join. If you think you might want to be part of our club, drop by and check us out!
When is the meeting?
Our club meets every Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm. The first 15 minutes are for meeting and greeting while the scheduled fun starts at 6:15.
Where is the meeting?
We normally meet at the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre, located at 627 Queens Quay West at Bathurst St., Toronto.
**Please note: Since July 1st, 2022, we returned to an in-person meeting format FULL-TIME! Guests are always welcome, and no formal invitation is required! However, for any questions, please send an email to libertyvillage.tm@gmail.com

How do I get there?
By public transit (TTC)…

Queens Quay West & Dan Leckie Way
From Union Station (or Queens Quay West):
The best way to reach us is by taking the 509 Exhibition streetcar from Union Station (or west anywhere along Queens Quay West). We’re at the stop right after Spadina (Dan Leckie Way), just before the streetcar reaches Bathurst Street. You’ll see the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre on the left.
From Spadina Station (or Spadina Street):
Take the 510 Spadina streetcar from Spadina Station (or south anywhere along Spadina Street). Get off at the Queens Quay West stop, right after the streetcar passes under the Gardiner Expressway. Walk west at the lights (towards Starbucks) until you reach Queens Quay West and Dan Leckie Way. You’ll see the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre on the left, just past the Music Garden.

Queens Quay West & Bathurst
From Bathurst Station (or Bathurst Street):
Take the 511 Bathurst streetcar from Bathurst Station (or south anywhere along Bathurst Street). Get off at the Fleet Street stop, right after the streetcar turns right off of Bathurst. Walk south at the lights (towards the gas station) until you reach Queens Quay West and Bathurst. You’ll see the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre on the southeast corner, just past the outdoor basketball courts.
By car…

Eireann Quay
Very limited parking is available near the Waterfront Neighbourhood Centre. Drive south on Bathurst, past Queens Quay West and onto Eireann Quay. You’ll find street parking and a small parking garage on your immediate left. Good luck!
Change in plans?
Changes in meeting time or location are extremely rare but may happen. This website will be updated accordingly should we need to cancel or reschedule any meeting.

Hello,
I am interested in exploring a few Toastmaster clubs in the Toronto region. I have been a member of a club in Hamilton for two years now. I now live in Toronto and looking for a club to join. The next few months I am working on transfering my executive roles to other members before I leave.
How many members does your club have? What is the fees? Is there parking?
Thanks in advance,
Matthew
Hi,
I”m in the midst of a career transition and the Toast Masters environment looks like like a good option for getting comfortable with public speaking skills. Do you allow people to drop into a session? As with the prior post by Matthew, I’m also wondering about the fees for your club.
Many thanks,
Mimi
Thanks for your interest in Toastmasters. Feel free to drop in anytime to get a sense of what our club is all about. We would be more than happy to discuss further any questions you have. In terms of fees, it’s quite minimal – around $75 every six months plus a small fee for workbooks.
Hope to see you at our future meetings!

Hey there,
Thanks for the awesome feedback! Our website and YouTube channel wouldn’t be what it is without the contributions of our club’s members. Kudos to them for contributing and giving so much back to the club.
We’re having a special meeting on March 2nd – a joint meeting with another Toastmasters club, The Go-Getters. It will feature a number of speakers along with a “debate-style” table topics session. It’s going to be a great night! You are definitely welcome to drop by for this meeting. Here are the details:
Theme: Joint Meeting with the Go-Getters
Toastmaster: Bing
Date: Wednesday, March 2, 2011
Time: 6 – 8 pm
Location: Assembly Room B (the large room just past the main office), Harbourfront Community Centre, 627 Queens Quay West, Toronto (Queens Quay & Bathurst)
See you there!
John
Hi
After taking a look at the website and reading all the great responses about the organization, I can’t wait to come to this weeks meeting on March 16,2011. I am very interested in becoming a member. I think this would be a great opportunity for me to develop my communication skills.
See you there!
Tonya
Thanks Tonya! Looking forward to seeing you at our meeting this Wednesday.
We have a great night planned, with several prepared speeches, as well as a special workshop on procrastination 😉
See you then!
John
My wife and I are currently members of the Docklands Toastmasters in Melbourne Australia. We will be in Toronto this afternoon and would love to join you at your meeting…see you all there tonight!
Hi Cliff,
Welcome! Our doors are always open to all guests!
Cheers,
Michelle
My wife Leslie and I attended last night. We had a great time at the meeting and thoroughly enjoyed getting to know some of the members at little more at the social activity afterwards. We look forward to becoming members!
Paul
Paul, it was a pleasure to have both you and Leslie as our guests. You added a lot of enthusiasm to the meeting and lead some very interesting conversations at the bar!
We look forward to having both you and Leslie as members of our club, and we can’t wait to hear the stories and knowledge that you’ll share with us.
See you next week!

Hello – I am a resident in the neighborhood and would like to get involved in this club. Can I come directly to the location to enroll? It looks like you have a very enthusiastic set of people all willing to learn. Should be fun to be part of this group. Can you please provide some details for enrollment? Fees, etc.
Thanks,
Balaji
Hi Balaji,
You’re welcome to come anytime free as a guest, and as many times as a guest. Please check us out, and if you like what you see, we will be more than happy to provide you more about the club regarding membership. Every Wednesday at 6pm at Harbourfront Community Centre.
