Recap from the Feb 12, 2014 Club International Speakers Competition

Tracey & Clem: Contestants for the Club International Speech Competition-- 2014-#2 By Ted

Our International Speech contest was held last night and Tracey and Clem both represented themselves with passion. Each shared some very intriguing insights and touching anecdotes that really connected with us. It was a very close race but after all the judges had carefully scored each speech and the ballots were totalled up, in the end Clem won by a nose. Now Clem with move forward and represent out club at the Area 26 contest to be held at TIAE Toastmasters in a few weeks (see separate post for more details). On behalf of the entire contest team and all of our members I’d like to extend a hearty round of applause and a huge thank you to Tracey and Clem for their participation and for continuing to move towards their self development communication goals at Liberty Village

I also want to extend a great big thanks to the entire contest team. Without out you there would be no contest. Valerie stepped up as contest chair and did a great job. … Next I’d like to give a big shout out to all the members of my contest team. Starting with my judges, Sean, John, Michelle and Helen. …Next up are my timers, Chris and Jackie. You smiled, stepped up early and on contest day you did the job accurately and with out incident. … And of course next is my ballot counter Alana who helped me to ensure ballot accuracy and confirm the final results. It was great to have you on my contest team, thanks Alana!
