This week we had speeches, table topics and debates! Oh my! Off we go, becoming speaking wizards, releasing our wonderful messages and all.
First, we learned from Toastmaster Luke not to micromanage but to trust people in order to develop them.
And from speaker James, we learned where our national healthcare came from. It was thanks to Tommy Douglas for being a rebel with a cause.
Finally, keeping with the theme, Table Topics Master Sarah encouraged us to speak about trust in others. It was Adam who gained our trust with his winning message. Congrats Adam!
Next week, Jill will be hosting our meeting and Andrew will be leading a valuable workshop on evaluation!
