We have all used these social media forms in one way or another. Whether it is to see what our friends are up to, follow that favorite TV show or celebrity, or to expand our network – Social Media is here to stay! What does your digital profile say about you? How can we leverage social media to our advantage? Join us this week as Toastmaster Bing explores our digial profile; what it is and in our modern times, what it says about us.

This week, our Toastmaster Rene will share his wisdom and enlighten us on action and reaction. Sometimes we sit back, wait for the reality to hit us and then we react but sometimes we take direct action and help to shape the reality. When we are in action, we are much more productive and can even realize our goals.. by identifying our goals and working with our mentors – we are destined for success. Our second part of the meeting is dedicated to the workshop focused on learning and growing! This is definitely one meeting not to be missed!

When we think of forging objects – the nerd in some of us will think of the “precious” being forged in the depths of Mount Doom.
LOTR references aside, this week Toastmaster Francisco will take us on a journey of how our characters are molded and forged, much like the precious and Frodo’s journey or steel being forged into a horseshoe – when we are faced with heat and difficult circumstances.

We all can walk the walk but can you talk the talk? Liberty Village Toastmasters is doing both once again and the city of Toronto doesn’t know what hit it!

We are walking our talk to a new location for our next two meetings on August 31st and September 7th. Join us at the Centre for Social Innovation, Room 120 located at 215 Spadina Avenue.
