Liberty Village Toastmasters meeting summary – Feb. 23

Hello Liberty Village Toastmasters,

What an inspiring Club Speech contest we had!

Our target Speaker – Nick from the Beaches Speeches club gave us an excellent education on our internet usage and how to be more mindful of the amount of data we transfer.

Our two Evaluation contest participants Ian and Cleaver did an amazing job critiquing our guest Nick and offering useful insights.

Next, our two speech contestants inspired the audience with two very dramatic speeches.

Eric delivered a speech from the movie Network. The scene entitled “Corporate Cosmology” had him playing as Mr. Jenkins, and Julian helped out as Mr. Beale.

John had us ready for battle! His inspiring speech described in vivid detail what it means to be a fighter in his self-composed speech inspired by Alexander the Great.

Cleaver won the evaluation contest and John won the speech contest. They will go on to compete at the Area level contests.

Our area level contest will be held on Tuesday March 15th 6pm at Metro Hall’s Toronto Go-Getters location: 55 John St south east corner of king/john. 3rd floor room 310.

Please mark this day on your calendar and come out and support our members as they compete for the Area Level International Speech and Evaluation contests. Let’s show the World that Liberty Village is the best Toastmaster’s club!

Sincerely,

Your President,

Eric
